A Bit About Us

The Dallas Baseball Umpire Association (DBUA) has provided high school baseball programs in and around Dallas with consistently high level officiating since the 1970's.

The DBUA officiates high school baseball at the varsity and sub-varsity levels for approximately 68 schools that play approximately 3500 games each spring in Dallas and the surrounding suburbs and counties.

We are a proud chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO) Baseball Division. Officials are trained and assessed on their abilities to provide safe, fair, and competitive experiences for players, coaches, and fans.

TASO is approved by the University Interscholastic League (UIL) and Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) and other educational associations to officiate various sports in the state of Texas.

New Member Training

DBUA provides training for individuals who are new to the organization. This training is suitable for any umpire whether or not he/she has any prior experience. There is NO FEE for attending, just your commitment to be your best.
