A Bit About Us

The Dallas Baseball Umpire Association (DBUA) has been a leading provider of high-quaility, baseball officiating for high school programs in the Dallas and surrounding areas since the 1970's.

Each spring, the DBUA delivers professional varsity and sub-varsity baseball officiating to about 68 high schools, supporting more than 3,500 games throughout Dallas and the neighboring suburbs and counties.

We are a proud chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO) Baseball Division. Officials are trained and regularly assessed on their abilities to ensure we provide a safe, fair, and competitive experiences for players, coaches, and fans.

TASO is reconizied and approved by the University Interscholastic League (UIL) and Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) and other educational associations, authorizing its officials to oversee various sports across Texas.

New Member Training

DBUA provides training for individuals who are new to the organization. This training is suitable for any umpire whether or not he/she has any prior experience. There is NO FEE for attending, just your commitment to be your best.
